Personally, I think this should be titled 'Yet another reason why the Fiery Birdy Thing shouldn't be allowed to draw humans at any cost', but I'm sure there's a character limit on titles.

Anyway, this was done for 's contest. The theme is to draw some of her original characters under the theme of 'duality'. The two characters pictured here are Terida on the left (who, at one point, was starting to look like Lara Croft!) and Xenophon on the right. According to 's story, when Xen is reborn, Terida's soul is linked to his, and she sort of becomes his servant/slave. So, in a not-very-imaginative attempt to picture that, here's the evil sod wrapping a chain around the lass's neck (for some reason, I started thinking that he could, you know, have his wicked way with her... come on, lads, I know what you're like!).

Bah! If anything, I should be apologising, because I've had all this time to work on the pic, and this was the best I could do. Meh, I hope someone out there likes it.

I wanted to try a different method of inking the outlines for this pic. Instead of sketching the outline, inking, adding colour, and then redoing the outlines, I sketched the outline, then added the colour and shading with Gouache, then I added the inked outlines and added a bit heavier shading with the ink as well. It doesn't look too bad, but it's not as good as it could be.
