And then I realised that I have a number of awesome photographs among my own favourites, some of which are the only items from certain galleries that I've fav-ed. So why did I fav them over, perhaps, stuff that these people may have worked hard on (in such cases that apply. In quite a lot of cases, the pictures were taken from photographers' galleries, or fav-ed alongside a bunch of drawn stuff, but there is still a small handful that don't apply there and those are the ones I'm pondering)? Looking at the photos in the ' Photography' file, I can see why. Because they make me smile when I look at them. It gives me joy to see these pics that people have taken, be they of models, plushies, toys, or other such subjects. Sometimes I can spend quite some time looking at these pictures, taking in their chosen subjects and the messages they have to share with us.
And I guess that's why the Raving Rabbid photo gets so much attention from peeps browsing through my stuff. His grin, the silly caption, they make me laugh even when I look at it now. He just looks so creepy, yet silly at the same time.
And all things considered, that's the reason why I take these sorts of photos myself and upload them here. To give myself a good chuckle. To make other people laugh. To make people smile. I guess it would be nice if some of the other photos got this much attention or, indeed, any of my drawn stuff. But I suppose that as long as people fav any of my work, they could very easily be leading others here, who in turn just might find favourites other than the ones recommended to them... Or perhaps not.
And it might also help if I drew and painted more instead of relying on plushies for cheap laughs!
Note: This wasn't a call to get more people fav-ing different pieces of my work. Just some random musing/thinking way to hard about these sorts of things.
